My name (if you couldn't guess it) is Jacob Drueckhammer. Welcome to my corner of the world! I'm excited to have the chance to tell you about what I do.
Photography isn't just a job for me; it really is a way of life. I was first introduced to photography with my iPhone 5. Not amazing quality photos, but it was always fun to try capturing moments. I wasn't near serious about photography then, but I think that is what originally sparked my curiosity. When I was a Freshman in high school, I started watching travel videos on YouTube. These people would travel around the world shooting breath taking videos and pictures. I was hooked. I bought a course and began to learn.
The more I learned, the more I wanted a real camera, so on May 4th, 2022, my Canon EOS R6 arrived. In Senior year I took a photography class to learn even more, but because of my constant learning in my online class, I was way ahead of everyone else. Around this time I got my first real estate gig taking some drone photos. It went super well and soon after I did a second house and an airbnb. Around this time I decided I would add wildlife and portraits to my portfolio. If you'd like to check out my wildlife photos, I have a dedicated website for it. If you have looked around my site and like my pictures, let me know! I enjoy feedback from others. If we meet in person you will soon find out that I am professional, but I also love to have a good laugh. My biggest goal is to get you the best product possible. Why? Because I find enjoyment in trying to get a photo that's just a little bit better. Every single time.
I was in Scouts for 7 years and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. This taught me a lot about working with others and leading projects. I received a department award from Castro Valley High School "in honor of excellence in the field of Photography," from Jeff Vendsel. I am still currently based in Castro Valley, California.
I want to work with you. I may not know who you are yet, but I love meeting new people. If my photos haven't convinced you to reach out, I would like to share some of my work experience with you. I've shot 5+ houses for real estate, 1 for Airbnb. I have shot birthday parties, Eagle Courts, and other events. I have done countless portrait shoots and weddings. I have worked with FMG Events taking photos at Live Nation Concerts. Specifically working with their sponsors like Nissan, Bud Light, Verizon...
